Folia Philosophica. Ethica – Aesthetica – Practica
is an academic journal dedicated to practical philosophy, philosophy of culture and broadly conceived axiology. Its purpose is to support theoretical reflection and philosophical debate concerning critical issues of contemporary social and public life. We welcome articles that explore moral, aesthetic, and legal aspects of contemporary culture and society, as well as more theoretically and historically oriented research into practical philosophy and aesthetics.
The Editors welcome contributions from Polish and foreign scholars in philosophy and other disciplines. We want to encourage an interchange of ideas between scholars from various fields and to bring into dialogue different disciplinary approaches, ranging from philosophy, aesthetics, ethics, political theory, law, religious studies, medicine, economics, to cultural studies. Our intention is to confront the point of view of theory with other outlooks presented by professionals and activists who deal with particular issues on their everyday, practical basis.
Folia Philosophica. Acta Universitatis Lodziensis was founded in 1981 and was issued once a year. In its new version Folia Philosophica. Ethica – Aesthetica – Practica will be published in two issues per year. Each issue is dedicated to a specific topic in ethics, aesthetics, bioethics, philosophy of law, or political theory. Apart from scholarly articles it will include review essays, discussion articles, and book reviews. Articles will be published in Polish, English, and other conference languages.
